Sasta Sansar participates in affiliate programmes run by online retailers and affiliate networks. This page explains what that means for you, the visitor, and how we keep our comparison results honest.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a special web address that contains a tracking code. When a visitor clicks such a link and then buys a product from the retailer within the period set by the programme, the retailer pays a commission to the affiliate partner. The price you pay is the same whether or not you arrived through an affiliate link. You do not receive any extra discount or benefit because of it.
Which links may be affiliate links?
Some of the store links shown in our results, and some links elsewhere on the site, may be affiliate links. Links that take you to a product page on a store may carry tracking parameters. Because our tool searches many stores automatically, we may not always know in advance which individual links carry these parameters, so we treat this disclosure as applying to all store links on the site.
How commissions are earned
We may earn a commission if you complete a purchase after clicking a link from our website. The rate and terms depend on each retailer and programme, and they can change without notice. We do not receive commissions for merely visiting our site or for clicking a link without buying.
Our editorial independence
Affiliate relationships do not decide which products appear in our search results, in what order they appear, or whether a store is included in our comparisons. Results are sorted by price and by how closely each listing matches your product. A store that pays us more does not get a better position in the list, and a store that does not participate in an affiliate programme is still shown if it has a matching product.
Accuracy of prices
Prices, offers, bank discounts and stock status are controlled by each retailer and can change at any time. The price shown on our site is the price we found at the moment of your search and may not match the price you see on the store page. Always check the final amount, including delivery charges, taxes and any coupon conditions, before you buy.
Your responsibility as a buyer
When you buy from a retailer, you are bound by that retailer's terms of sale, return policy and warranty. Sasta Sansar is not the seller and does not handle payments, refunds or disputes about orders. For any issue with an order, please contact the retailer directly.
Compliance with advertising rules
We aim to follow the guidelines issued by Indian authorities on the disclosure of endorsements and material connections, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the guidelines on misleading advertisements. A simple example
Suppose you search for a pair of running shoes and see one listing that is slightly cheaper than the others. If you click that store link and buy the shoes, the store may pay us a small commission. You pay the same amount you would have paid if you had typed the store address yourself. The commission does not change the ranking of the results, and it does not stop us from listing other stores with lower or higher prices.
